Sigma Tau Delta

Metropolitan State College is home to the Alpha Psi chapter of  Sigma Tau Delta, an honor society of English majors and minors dedicated to promoting the study of language and literature. A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, Sigma Tau Delta was founded in 1924 and has over 650 chapters internationally.

Our members have the opportunity to attend the national convention and to apply for society awards, internships, and scholarships.  We host a book sale in fall and spring semesters for the students, faculty, and staff at Auraria Campus.  Sigma Tau Delta offers workshops for students, in areas such as MLA formatting and understanding literature.    Alpha Psi chapter also hosts the annual Honors Convocation for the English Department.  This year’s ceremony will be held at the end of spring semester.
