The Access to Collaborative Education in the Sciences program (ACES) is a new program at the Community College of Denver and Metropolitan State College of Denver for all interested students -- with an emphasis on underrepresented populations. The ACES program is facilitated through NASA and the United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation.

The Summer ACES Scholars Program is designed in support of the ACES Program to help prepare high school students to be successful in college entry classes. The three-week program includes laboratory exercises that integrate science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. The ACES Scholars Program helps students enhance their reasoning and analytical skills -- skills that are critical fundamentals in future success. The program is aimed particularly at minority applicants who will, upon matriculating in a college or university, be eligible to participate in the Colorado Alliance for Minority Participation.

Students participating will receive a daily $20 stipend, provided they complete the three-week experience.
