Pay Date Shift
Governor Bill Owens signed Senate Bill 197 in April authorizing June's pay date for State employees be moved to the first working day of July for 2003 and every year thereafter. If you have specific questions on how this will impact you, please contact Nancy Weaver in Payroll at ext. 6-5033.

Temporary Lecturers and Benefit Continuation
If you are a temporary lecturer for the entire 2002/2003 academic year and your contract concluded in May, this is a reminder that the last paycheck you will receive for that contract is July 1, 2003. Your insurance benefits will continue through September 30, 2003. If you receive a Fall Temporary Lecturer contract, your insurance will continue through the remainder of the year, however, you will receive a double deduction in your October pay. If you are a temporary lecturer for Spring semester only, your last paycheck will be received July 1, 2003 and benefits will continue through July 31, 2003.

Check Your Leave Accruals
Please make sure that you keep track of your leave accruals on a monthly basis. If you go over your maximum accrual, you will lose that leave on July 1, 2003. If you are interested in donating annual leave to the leave bank, you may do so at any time. FOR CLASSIFIED ONLY: you were hired before July 1, 1988, have a sick leave balance above 360 hours and would like to convert a portion to salary, now is the time to pursue this. Forms for any of these programs are obtained by contacting Human Resources at ext. 6-3120.

Timesheets
Did you know timesheets are no longer sent to Human Resources? Timesheets need to be sent to the Payroll office, Campus Box 98, by the second working day of every month. Copies may be faxed to ext. 6-5010 with originals followed up by intercampus mail.
