Metro State's Presidential Search Advisory Committee met as a group for the first time in November and hopes to submit a proposed job description to be used for advertising purposes to the Board of Trustees at its January meeting.

"I was very pleased with the level of participation," said John Buechner, president emeritus of the University of Colorado, who has been hired to coordinate the search. "There's a very good level of experience and talent on the committee."

Buechner, who was hired to coordinate the search at the Board of Trustees' November meeting, is already making contacts through his national network and has been approached by individuals interested in the presidency.

The committee will hold its next meeting Dec. 11.
