| RMAC: Volleyball heads to tourney, soccer teams are champs |

one Roadrunner team heads into its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference
(RMAC) tournament, two others already have been crowned RMAC tournament
champs.
The women's volleyball team beat Chadron State Nov. 5 and will compete as the fourth seed in this weekend's RMAC Tournament at Nebraska-Kearney. The Roadrunners ended their regular season with a 16-13 record, 13-6 in RMAC. The team will play New Mexico Highlands at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12. The women's and men's soccer teams held their RMAC tournaments this past weekendand both took the championship. The women's team, ranked No.2 in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas poll, will host the Midwest Regional tournament this weekend. With a 20-1 record, the Roadrunners are the tournament's top seed. They will face West Texas A&M at 11 a.m. Friday. If the team wins, they will play in the championship game at noon on Sunday. While the men's team did win the RMAC tournament, they did not receive a berth to play in the regionals. The Roadrunners ended their season at 15-4-2, their strongest finish in four years. |
