Distinguished service is defined as continuous service to Metropolitan State College characterized by a high standard of quality, longevity and significance. The emphasis is on outstanding and unusual contributions that are clearly above and beyond the norm. Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by others. Those who are nominating someone else must contact the nominee to ensure that all information is correct and to obtain the signature of the nominee on the nomination form. Nominations merely consisting of resumes are unacceptable. The nomination must be in the form of a narrative statement, double-spaced on plain white paper, not to exceed four pages. Copies of the nomination form are available from the Faculty Senate Office. The recipients of the Distinguished Service Award receive a monetary award, which will be paid through payroll and is subject to federal and state withholdings. Submit materials to the Faculty Senate Office, CN 303, or Campus Box 95. |
