Blood drive next week
November 10, 2004
The campus community is encouraged to participate in the Auraria blood drive sponsored by the UCD Student Life Office. The drive will be held Nov. 17, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Nov. 18, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., in the North Classroom Building Atrium.

"During our last blood drive in September we collected 231 units of blood and had 110 first-time donors," explains Corrie Santos, who helps organize the drive. "That's enough blood to affect 693 lives."

The blood collected from the Auraria blood drive benefits the Bonfils Blood Center, which provides blood to 115 hospitals and health care facilities.

Walk-in donors are welcome, but appointments are recommended. To make an appointment, call Corrie Santos at 303-556-6791 or Kelly Young at 303-556-6273.
