Students in Nancy Frontczak's Promotional Strategy class started the semester with a heart-warmingand body-warmingproject. Frontczak, professor of marketing, assigned a one-week promotion: a coat drive for the Denver Rescue Mission. The students took their assignment seriously, and worked to collect more than 75 coats. "This is the second year the students have done this," said Frontczak. "They like doing it. It's a great way to promote something and help someone at the same time." Frontczak and the students personally delivered the coats to the mission last Thursday, Jan. 27. "As we were getting out of my car at the mission, a homeless man came up and asked for a coat. The students were able to put a human face with the results of their work," she said. The class will also work on a project for the Red Cross later in the semester. |
