Final round of Diversity Initiative grants awarded
March 16, 2005

The final round of Diversity Initiative grants for the academic year has been awarded for spring activities on campus.

Diversity Initiative grants range from $100 to $4,000 and fund activities for the cultural and academic enrichment of students, faculty or staff; to support recruitment, retention, or diversity outreach initiatives and to enhance students' cultural literacy. The current round of grants funds activities in May and June.

Grants have been awarded to the following:

  • Access Center, for Auraria Disability Awareness Day
  • Music Department, for the 4th Annual Jazz Celebration at Metro State
  • Institute for Women's Studies and Services, for the Outstanding Women's Awards
  • Latino faculty and staff, Chicano/a Studies Department and Pi Lambda Chi, for the Latino Graduation Reception
  • African American Affairs Council, for the African American Student Graduation Celebration
  • Campus Recreation and PaceSetters Scholars Program, for Showing Our True Colors
  • Center for Visual Arts, for Japanese Design Today
