June 15, 2005

Take note of these two events happening today and tomorrow on campus.

Library to preview "La Raza de Colorado" today
A preview of the beginning segment of "La Raza de Colorado,” a two-part documentary on Latinos that includes interviews with Metro State professors, will be screened today, June 15, noon-1 p.m. in the Auraria Media Center, Room 8. The documentary will air on Rocky Mountain PBS later this year.

The full documentary consists of "La Historia" and "El Movimiento.” The preview screening will cover only the first 30 minutes of "La Historia," followed by a brief presentation by the documentary’s producer, Lisa Olken, and a Q&A session.

The event’s co-sponsors are the Auraria Library Diversity Committee and REFORMA-Colorado, which is the National Association to Promote Library & Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking.
