| A busy summer indeed |

Even though many of Metro's faculty and students were away from campus, it was nevertheless an eventful summer. Among the key announcements was that the college will observe a fall break each year during the week of Thanksgiving. Also, Interim President Ray Kieft announced he is seeking the president's job on a permanent basis. In addition, Information Technology launched several new initiatives to improve network performance. Here is a recap of key summer news and announcements. Kieft throws
