Beginning this semester, faculty are required to submit their grades electronically through MetroConnect. “Through E-Grades, professors are gaining the convenience of submitting their grades from their home or wherever they can access MetroConnect,” said Registrar Tom Gray. “No more filling out bubble sheets or traipsing down to campus in a snow storm.” The only exception to this new requirement is for UCD students registered through Pooled Registration. The red bubble grade sheet for these students will continue to be used until the next phase of E-Grades is complete. E-Grades submission starts Monday, Dec. 13, and all grades must be submitted no later than noon on Thursday, Dec. 23. Late Grades must be submitted in person to the Registrar’s Office, CN 105, and will not be uploaded until Jan. 3, 2005. Faculty are encouraged to verify now that they can access their Fall 2004 class rosters through MetroConnect. If they can, Gray said that they should have little difficulty accessing the Final Grade Worksheet starting Dec. 13. If they can’t, they should contact their department’s chair. Any faculty who feels they need additional help may attend one of the 10 half-hour demonstration sessions scheduled throughout the day and evening, Monday-Thursday, Nov. 29-Dec. 2. Call the E-Grade Hotline in the Registrar’s Office for a schedule or more information, 303-556-3991. Ask for Skip, Sadie, Randy or Peggy. |
