Faculty and staff are welcome to attend two upcoming grant training workshops hosted by the Office of Sponsored Programs. The workshops are for participants in OSP's Grant Mentoring Program, but OSP Director Betsy Zeller emphasizes that any Metro employee who is interested is encouraged to attend. The first session is Friday, August 6, 1-3 p.m. The second session is Friday, September 17, 1-4:30 p.m. Both will be held in the Golda Meir Center. The August session features Zeller and Barbara Gregg, director of grants in the Development Office, who will provide training on public and private funding opportunities. Theodore Hodapp, program director at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the Division of Undergraduate Education, is the trainer for the September workshop. He will lead a one-hour interactive session on the production of effective and successful grant applications, followed by a mock-panel review where participants read and evaluate an actual NSF proposal. Please RSVP to
Kathy Cooper at coopekat@mscd.edu
to reserve a place at either or both workshops. |
