2. Online initiative is a major undertaking

Metro's stable of online courses has grown by leaps and bounds since 1996 when the first courses were offered, vaulting Metro into a role as one of the leaders in online education in the state.

4. Countdown to Homecoming

Metro's third annual Homecoming celebration is less than two weeks away. This year's celebration is themed "Metro Goes Retro" and includes something for everyone. The fun starts Feb. 7 and culminates with what is sure to be some great basketball when our women's and men's Roadrunners take on their RMAC rivals, the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney on Friday night, Feb. 11.

College offices and student organizations are encouraged to participate in the Penny Drive for their chosen charity, which has already begun, and the Office Decorating Contest.

The partnership between the Federal Aviation Administration and Metro State's Electrical Engineering Technology Department is official.
