Today's Board of Trustees meeting begins at 9 a.m. rather than 8 a.m.
as is usual. It will be held in TIV 320. Among the agenda items are
a report by Interim President Ray Kieft on Metro's performance contract
with the CCHE and a presentation on remediation for first-time students
by Bill Hathaway Clark, interim associate dean of Student Services and
director of Admissions.

Diversity
Initiatives process continues through Feb. 14 deadline
Since last July,
Metro State has been making Diversity Initiative grants on a two-month
rolling basis. This is the first year the college has offered phased,
or rolling, deadlines for the grants; in the past the grants were made
biannually.

to build 'habitat'
Members of the
Metro State community will gather Feb.11-12 to work on constructing
a new house for a family in need. The project, undertaken with Habitat
for Humanity of Denver, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 14701
East 18th Place (18th & Eagle) in Aurora. Faculty, students and
staff are invited to come and work.
