Not only
is Metro’s men’s basketball team the No. 1 seed in the
North Central Regional Tournament on March 12, 13 and 15, they are
the hosts for all seven games. The Roadrunners’ round-one match-up
is 6 p.m., March 12, against the No.8-seed Northern State (S.D.).

up! A night out for CVA
One hundred years
ago, Denver Mayor Robert W. Speer propelled Denver into the “City
Beautiful” movement. He is credited with developing Denver’s
tree-shaded streets, Civic Center Park, Sloan’s Lake Park,
the Auditorium Arena and the Mount Evans highway. He was also driven
from office amid allegations of corruption and election-rigging.

Take
a spring break
Metro State’s
Latino Faculty and Staff Association invites faculty and staff, along
with their family and friends, to spend a week of fun and relaxation
in Mexico, May 21-27. The cost is $799, plus a $200 application fee.
An information
session will be held today, March 9, 12:30-1:30 p.m., in the Golda
Meir Center.
