A quick look at the initial summer 2005 enrollment numbers shows that
enrollment at Metro State appears to be slightly higher than last summer.

Projects for IT
The Information Technology department (IT) at Metro State is undertaking
several projects this summer, including upgrading the Banner system,
improving the security of college data and remodeling certain campus
computer labs.

Faculty
urged to remind students to submit COF application
Faculty members,
please remind students in your summer classes that all instate students
who plan to enroll in the Fall 2005 semester need to apply for the College
Opportunity Fund (COF) in order to receive the COF "stipend"
for their Fall 2005 instate tuition.

changes its video and DVD policies
Effective todayWednesday,
June 1the Auraria Library no longer electronically distributes
videos and DVDs to campus classrooms, as all classrooms are now "smart
classrooms."

Dana Echohawk,
who just graduated this spring with a photojournalism degree, has had
one of her photographs selected as a Judge's Choice winner by the American

meets today
The regularly scheduled
monthly meeting of the Metro State Board of Trustees is today, June
1, 8 a.m.-noon, in TIV 320. Agenda items include the election of board
officers for 2005-06 and a report on the proposed fiscal year 2006 operating
budget by Interim Vice President of Administration and Finance Natalie
Lutes.

and improved @Metro in the works
The Office of College
Communications is working on an @Metro Web site that will feature a
new design and improved navigation and search capabilities. We'd like
to know what you think so that we can make adjustments based on your
opinions before we roll it out this fall.

to be part of a beta test group this summer that will receive This Week
@Metro in its new version, please e-mail Chris Mancuso at mancuso@mscd.edu.
