Summer enrollment dips slightly
A decrease in transfer students for the summer semester has led to a
slight decline of 0.6% (48 fewer students overall) in student headcount
over last summer’s census date enrollment figures.

housing project breaks ground
With construction under way on a 685-bed student housing project on
the former Atlas Metals property at 4th and Walnut, students will be
able to live right next to campus by fall of 2006a sea change
that will affect the campus climate.

This spring, 2,643
papers were submitted during Metro State’s pilot of Turnitin,
the so-called anti-plagiarism software.

Court announces final election decisions
The Student Court
has announced its rulings on several complaints surrounding the 2005
Student Government Assembly elections, including the decision to hold
a special election for the position of president and 10 senatorial positions
this fall.
