Denver firefighters learn Spanish in Metro State program
The Denver Fire Department is the latest city agency to tap into Metro
State's foreign language expertise. The college is providing language
competency assessments to firefighters who are seeking certification
as Spanish speakers. A group of about 10 firefightersincluding
Fire Chief Larry Trujillowill be on campus Saturday morning to
take the series of tests.

June paychecks paid July 1
Human Resources
reminds all Metro State employees that state legislation requires that
monthly payroll for June be paid on Friday, July 1, 2005. Please plan
for this one-day change in pay date.

Building going to after-hours access system
As of July 13,
faculty, students and staff who work in the Science Building must have
pre-approved and encoded campus IDs in order to enter the building and
access certain rooms after regular business hours.
