Faculty, please let your students know about the Read, Succeed at Auraria Scholarship program, which is awarding $500 Auraria Campus Bookstore gift certificates to two students from Metro State as well as two students from CCD and from UCDHSC. The deadline for submitting application material is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30.

The application packet must include:

• A typed 300-to-500-word essay that indicates how the applicant has used the Auraria Library and how the library has contributed to the applicant's academic success. Selection criteria include a quality essay, academic achievement, leadership qualities and evidence of community service activities. By applying for this scholarship, the applicant agrees to let the Auraria Library publicize statements in the essay at a future date.
• Readable copy of most recent transcript, demonstrating GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• One recommendation from faculty at the current institution.
• Evidence of enrollment for current semester.
