Open House attendance highest ever
April 13, 2005

Nearly 1,400 visitors attended the Metro State Open House on April 9—the highest number in the event's five-year history.

"Not only did we attract students just now considering college, but a substantial number of accepted students came to 'check us out,' to help them with their decision about where to enroll this fall," said Director of Admissions Bill Hathaway-Clark, who attributed the success of the event to the more than 150 faculty, staff and alumni who participated.

Prospective students and their guests came to the Auraria Events Center to find out about academic programs, student services and the many resources available at Metro State. The event offered special opportunities, including tours of the Aviation and Aerospace Science Department's flight lab and a presentation on the Hospitality, Meeting and Travel Administration Department's mini-conference center. In addition, nearly 400 people toured the campus and more than 100 applications for admission were submitted.

The next Metro State Open House will take place on Saturday, June 25.
