Kieft releases task forces' reports

Interim President Ray Kieft has announced that the Task Force on Student Success and the Admission Index and the Task Force on Student Learning Assessment have completed their reports.

Kieft established the task forces last fall. He created the first group to work on a solution to the problem of students with admission indices of 75 or lower not returning their second year. The second task force was charged with developing recommendations for a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the college's assessment of student learning. Both groups were formed in response to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education's new policy stipulating that each higher-education institution must sign a performance contact with the CCHE.

In a Feb. 23 e-mail to faculty and staff, Kieft said that it is important that all members of the college community have an opportunity to provide input into any changes that might be recommended by the task forces.
