Women's soccer ranked No. 2 in nation

Metro's women's soccer team, ranked No. 2 in Division II by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in its NSCAA/Adidas national poll, has ended the regular season at 16-0-1 (14-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference).

The team will host the RMAC tournament Nov. 5-6 at Auraria Field as the No. 1 seed. No. 2 Regis will play No. 3 CSU-Pueblo at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Metro will play the winner in the tournament's championship match at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The men's soccer team received votes but did not make the NSCAA/Adidas top 25. The men ended their season at 14-4-1 (8-3-1 in RMAC) and will compete against the Colorado School of Mines in the first semifinal game of the RMAC tournament this Friday at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.
