Council of Administrators elects officers
August 10, 2005

The Council of Administrators (COA) at Metro State elected new representatives and officers last week.

Yvonne Flood, interim assistant vice president of Information Technology and Academic Computing Lab Services, was re-elected chair. She said, “This year will be an important one. For the first time in the history of the council, the chair will serve as a voting member of the President's Cabinet.”

As a result, Flood added, she and the other Steering Committee members will be communicating with administrators more often and requesting their participation in the discussion of proposed college policy, procedural and program decisions as they are raised in Cabinet. Flood also announced that Cabinet minutes will be sent to all college administrators on a regular basis.

The COA’s other newly elected officers are Tara Tull, vice chair, and Maureen Johnson, secretary.

The area representatives are:
Ben Zastrocky, Information Technology
Stephanie Moran, Administration and Finance
Lynne Gefre, Institutional Advancement
Tom Imiolczyck, Academic Affairs
Lee Shores, Student Services
Julie Rummel Mancuso, Student Services
Mary Lou Van Voorhis, Academic Affairs
Donnita Wong, Student Services

Flood encourages college administrators to attend COA meetings. The next scheduled meeting is 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15, in CN 301, at which time the schedule for future meetings will be set and an organized communication plan will be developed.
