Skip Crownhart, a fixture on the Auraria campus since 1979, has been named interim director of the Advising Center. She will serve in the position while a national search for a permanent director takes place.

Crownhart has been associate director of the center since 1998. Formerly with CU-Denver and AHEC, she began at Metro State in 1991 and has been responsible for advising foreign students, many of whom come from Asian countries.

Joan Foster, interim vice president for Academic Affairs, says: “Ms. Crownhart has strong support from her colleagues in the center and from the many professionals across campus who have worked with her. … Her dedication to quality and excellence is clear in all she does.”
