and Museum of Nature and Science win grant
Metro students
will soon have the chance to boldly go where no student has gone before.
Metro State, in cooperation with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
(DMNS), has just received a $470,000 grant from the National Science
Foundation to test the Immersive Virtual Environment at the Gates Planetarium
in teaching astronomy to non-majors.

Off-road
runners: Cross country team starts its first season
The fledgling cross
country team at Metro State is up and running. Literally. The approximately
20 men and women started training as a team on Aug. 8. “We are
working with them so they can understand what it takes to compete at
this level,” says new head coach Peter Julian.
