A group of Metro State students have stepped up to help Katrina's victims. Marketing majorsall 650 of themhave donated $1 each to the American Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund. Marketing Professor Nancy Frontczak, whose "Promotional Strategies" course often works with local nonprofits including the Mile High chapter of the American Red Cross, came up with the idea and found no lack of support from her students. On Sept. 14, Frontczak delivered $650 to the Red Cross's marketing manager, Nicole Adair, who said, "This is incredible. How generous and nice of you to organize." Meanwhile, Auraria
Cares will continue to collect monetary donations through Thursday,
Sept. 22, for the American Red Cross relief effort. According to Gretta
Mincer, assistant director of Student Activities, more than $5,500 had
been raised as of Tuesday, Sept. 20. Donations can be made at the flag
pole from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or online at Auraria
