It’s a Kick! Kickball Bonanza coming soon
July 13, 2005

Get out your sneakers—and start your team training now—as the second annual Kickball Bonanza is coming July 17, 3-6 p.m., to the Auraria Campus athletic fields

Registration is free and forms are available from Campus Recreation (PE 108) or Metro State Student Activities (Tivoli 305). Teams will consist of 9 to 10 or more people. Team members can be staff, faculty, students, friends—whoever you can muster. No professional kickball players, please.

Kickball has been around as a sport for decades, mostly on playgrounds. It follows the same general rules as baseball, except the pitcher rolls a big rubber ball to a “batter” who tries to kick it for a base hit or home run.

A highly coveted traveling trophy will be awarded to the winning team. There will also be food and refreshments and fun prizes during the tourney.

The event is sponsored by Student Activities and Campus Recreation at Auraria. For questions or more information, call Brooke Dilling at 303-556-2595 or Tony Price at 303-556-3210.
