The Higher Education Association of the Rockies (HEAR) is hosting a Colorado legislative update April 27.
Hereford Percy, chairman of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education(CCHE), and Matt Gianneschi, deputy director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, will deliver the keynote address. A panel of education experts will present and discuss the impact of the legislative session on higher education.
Registration for the event, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at 14th Avenue and Grant Street, is $20 and includes light refreshments.
Panelists and participants will address questions such as : How does legislation passed in the 2012 session change the way we do business in higher education? What are the budget implications of the legislature’s actions? And, what are the priorities and vision of the Department of Higher Education for the next year?
