HR holds first in series of leadership presentations

Sep 21, 2010

The Office of Human Resources, in conjunction with SkillSoft, invite faculty and staff to participate in a live-streamed leadership development event.

“How to Lead a SWITCH” will be streamed via video to a group in TIV 329 on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The event features Dan Heath, author of the books “SWITCH: How to Change Things When Change is Hard” and “Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die.”

Space for the event is limited. You may reserve a spot by contacting Marilyn Hoffman at hoffmmar@mscd.edu or at 303-556-5030.

This event kicks off HR’s monthly “Leadership for Lunch” series. Subsequent events will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month and will be recorded for archives of presentations featuring recognized thought leaders.

Future topics include:

· Oct. 13 – The Element: Fostering a Culture of Innovation and Passion, with Sir Ken Robinson

· Nov. 10 – Who’s Got Your Back? Building Cultures of Trust Where No One is Allowed to Fail, with Keith Ferrazzi

· Dec. 8 - The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World, with John Hope Bryant

Participants are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch to these events and “lunch as they learn.”
