Metro State ended the 2008 season as the NCAA softball statistical
champion in both home runs and doubles, the NCAA has announced.
In their first season, the Roadrunners led the nation in both home
runs and doubles. Metro State averaged 1.58 home runs per game and 2.06
doubles per contest. The College will receive a plaque for its
achievement in each category from the NCAA.
Metro State finished the season with a record of 32-18 overall and advanced to the RMAC Tournament.
