Thanks to the Clean Energy Fee there is a new light on the Auraria Campus.Solar lighting installations now light the institutional, state and
national flags throughout campus. In addition, those with disabilities
can chart a safer and easier route across campus thanks to solar
lighting that illuminates the new Americans with Disabilities Act route
signage on a number of campus buildings. Finally, solar-lit campus
directory signs that feature an updated, easier-to-read map have been
installed.
These and other “green” projects were recommended by the Clean
Energy Subcommittee of the Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria
Board.
The student Clean Energy Fee ended this spring and will be replaced
in spring 2008 by the recently approved Sustainable Campus Program Fee
(go to http://www.mscd.edu/~collcom/artman/
