Recreation Professions Major
The major in recreation professions is intended to prepare students
to enter recreation related jobs that are available at both local and
national levels. The major consists of a common core of courses deemed
essential for all recreation personnel and emphasizes field work with
various types of recreation, parks, conservation and other social services
agencies.
In conjunction with the coure courses selections, the student will
select one area of concentration.The area of concentration provides
the student with specialized knowledge and skills related to particular
job functions provided by the various leisure service agencies. The
areas of concentration from which the student may select are:
