Latino Graduation

Every year the Latino Faculty and Staff Association is honored to prove a Graduation ceremony to recognize our recent graduates.

The 10th Annual Latino Graduation Reception will be held on Friday May 4, 2007 in the Tivoli Turnhalle on the Auraria Campus. Latino graduates from the Summer 2006, Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 semesters will be honored.

The purpose of this event is to provide a culturally responsive graduation experience for MSCD’s Latino graduates. The evening’s festivities will include a keynote speaker, a buffet dinner, cultural entertainment, recognition of the graduates and their families, presentation of the Espiritu de Aztlan Awards, and a presentation of LFSA Scholarship recipients.

As part of our ceremony we are also going to honor the Espiritu de Aztlan Award recipients. This prestigious award recognizes students who exhibit a commitment to the Latino community. Latino graduates may nominate themselves or may be nominated by a student, faculty, or staff member. Please click on the link below for application and information.

The ceremony also honors our current 07-08 Scholarship recipients. We are proud to announce 2 scholarships for full time students and one for a part time student. The application will be available soon.

Congratulations to all of our Metro Graduates!!!
