Education and
Professional Experience:
Dr. MacDonald pursued a Master's Degree from the University
of Colorado at Boulder and a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from
Princeton University in 2006. Thesis title: "Joseph Blanco
White: An Intellectual Biography, 1776 - 1810."
Teaching and Research
Interests:
In addition to the Introductory level Spanish language courses
taught in the Multimedia Classrooms of the Plaza Building and
other Intermediate and Advanced level courses, her interests
include Peninsular Spanish literature, history, culture and
civilization, 18th- and 19th-century literature, European and
Peninsular Enlightenment studies, institutional polemics, and
Spanish grammar and stylistics. Dr. MacDonald is currently working
with an international consortium toward the publication of the
complete works of Joseph Blanco White.
Professional Affiliations:
She is active in the American Association of Teachers of Spanish
and Portuguese (AATSP) and the Colorado Congress of Foreign
Language Teachers (CCFLT).
