  GENERAL WEBSITE HELP

The Metropolitan State College of Denver's Precision Flight Team website uses Adobe Flash, Java, and Javascript. In today's world, with anyone capable of accessing the internet, dishonesty has prompted the need to protect computers and computer networks from hackers and other malicious behavior. In response, security measures are adopted to do as much as possible to do the protecting. Internet browsers have security settings which can be set to disallow plug-ins like Flash, or programs like Java and Javascript to operate on a computer.

If your web browser is not displaying the web site correctly, (see illustrations), you may be able to change settings to allow these features to work on the specific machine you work from.

  Adobe Flash Issue

If the red "METRO FLIGHT TEAM" lettering at the top of the page does not gleam, Adobe flash plugin for the browser is not installed. It can be downloaded and installed on individual machines at this web page. The lettering should look like this illustration and if you watch the lettering it should appear to glitter in the sun light from time to time.

  Java and Javascript Issues

When you roll the mouse cursor over the blue tabs, each menu selection should have a blue tab on it when you roll over it and the others should be red. See illustration.

There should be a clock and drop-down selection menu to change the time zone displayed that looks like this.

When you click on the gold NIFA wings a small window should pop-up displaying the Region 1 schools and a link to the NIFA web site like this.

There should be a blue verticle menu on the left side. When you roll the mouse cursor over this menu it should change background color under the selection the mouse cursor is over like this.

Finally, there is an RSS feed to Aviation News Headlines on the left side of each page. It should show up with headlines like this.

If Java or Javascript are not working on your browser, it may either not be installed on your PC or it may be disabled. To download java and install it on your PC, go to this website.
