Classes Taught: Tuba

A native of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, Stephen Dombrowski is Principal Tubist of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and is on faculty at Metropolitan State College of Denver.  He received his Bachelor of Music degree in tuba performance from Boston University, where his principal teachers were Gary Ofenloch and Toby Hanks.  Mr. Dombrowski continued his studies with Daniel Perantoni at Indiana University for his Master of Music degree.  While in Indiana, he held the principal tuba position with the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, taught privately, and was on faculty at the Music at Maple Mount Festival in Kentucky.

Mr. Dombrowski spent two summers in Germany as the tubist for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra, working alongside world-renown conductors and musicians.  He has also appeared as a guest artist at the Tanglewoood Music Center.

Mr. Dombrowski currently resides in Denver with his wife, Angela.
