A native of Hershey, Pennsylvania, Dr. David Kish is Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at The Metropolitan State College of Denver. Dr. Kish conducts the Wind Ensemble, teaches conducting, and music education courses.

Before his appointment at Metro State, Dr. Kish served as Associate Director of Bands at the University of Georgia. His writings on wind literature and conducting pedagogy have been published in The Instrumentalist Magazine, Journal of Band Research, Music Educators Journal, CBDNA Research Report, and the Georgia Music News.

Dr. Kish received his Doctorate of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in Instrumental Conducting and Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and the Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
