Metropolitan State College of Denver Department of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with two options.

Baccalaureate Registered Nurse Completion Option (BRNCO)

Designed for students who have graduated from an Associate Degree or Diploma Nursing Program, have a current Colorado RN License in good standing and who wish to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  This program allows working RNs to complete their BSN at a pace that allows full employment. Accelerated Nursing Option (ACNO)

Designed for individuals with a non-nursing Bachelor’s Degree who wish to enter the nursing profession.  Upon acceptance and completion of the program, graduates receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and are eligible to take the RN licensing exam (NCLEX).   Learn more >>



Nursing Program Background Check and Drug Screening

Information Sessions

The Department of Nursing faculty and staff participate in a variety of sessions both on and off campus throughout the year. Information and dates are contingent upon the sponsoring institution and/or department. Learn more >>

PLEASE NOTE:

Metropolitan State College of Denver Department of Nursing DOES NOT offer a “traditional” pre-licensure 4 year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.  Students are welcome to attend Metro State and register for general education and pre-requisites courses that will qualify them to transfer or apply to an institution that does offer a traditional 4 year program.  Please visit the Colorado Board of Nursing website for a list of approved institutions: http://www.dora.state.co.us/nursing/.
