Welcome!

The Metropolitan State College of Denver (MSCD) was created as Colorado's urban college of opportunity with a mandate to provide people of the greater Denver metropolitan area with a high-quality, affordable, accessible baccalaureate education. MSCD's modified open admission policy, combined with a fundamental aspiration and belief in lifelong learning has been the key to a better future for thousands of traditional and non-traditional-aged students. The College is located on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver and shares space with the Community College of Denver and the University of Colorado at Denver.

The Metropolitan State College of Denver (MSCD) was awarded a five-year, $1.68 million Title III Strengthening Institutions award from the U.S. Department of Education from 1998 through 2003. This grant is funding three activities: Activity One: "Student Development and Retention"; Activity Two: "Faculty Development and Retention"; and Activity Three: "Student Access to Technology."
