After You Register

STEP 1 - Order Course Materials

All course materials are available to order at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/MSCD.HTM. Click on Buy Books and select the appropriate course.

STEP 2 - Make a Study Plan

Organize your materials.
You will need a three-ring binder for the Lecture Notes in addition to the textbook(s), and the DVD's.

Organize your time.
Distance delivery requires discipline. Set aside at least three hours a week for each course you are taking. Extra time will have to be scheduled for reading. The lectures will alert you when it is time to schedule quizzes and exams. You have six months to complete the course.

STEP 3 - Plan and Schedule Exams

Exams are professional level - not academic, based on real-life situations.

Proctoring Exams
You will need an exam proctor who will oversee your exams.  Well in advance of an exam, you will need to make arrangements to have the exam sent to a school or library or other appropriate site near your work or home.  Your proctor may not be a co-worker, manager, employee, or relative. Click here to download the Proctor Instructions/Proctor Request Approval Form.  This form contains all the information you will need to secure an exam proctor.

Send the completed Proctor form to:
MSCD
Surveying and Mapping program 5660 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., Suite 100
Greenwood Village, CO 80111

Scheduling Exams

Exams need to be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.  Please call 303-721-1313 and ask for the Surveying Distance Delivery Program or email jcampb70@mscd.edu with your exam request.

STEP 4 Course Evaluations

You will be given the opportunity to evaluate the course you are taking.  The course evaluation is to be submitted with the final exam.  Evaluations are anonymous and are sent to the instructor after the final exam has been graded.

STEP 5 - Access Your Grade

Access your grade online at http://www-banner.mscd.edu. Grades will be available at the end of the semester in which you finish the course.
