Annual High Tea for Allies - This year GLBTSS is proud to welcome the SHADES of Genius program as a part of this year’s annual High Tea for Allies. Dr. Sara Josephine Baker, M.D., will be honored this year for her contributions to health. Baker is a lesbian and suffragette who revolutionized public health and spearheaded the field of preventative medicine at the turn of the 20th century. The SHADES Program was created by the Health Center at Auraria as a way to honor underrepresented minorities who have made a contribution to science and/or medicine.
