Cathy Buchanan: ‘Small minds talk about people’

In response to an article by Nick Bahl

Dear Editor:

In what I thought was a normal and private conversation between Nick Bahl and myself turned out to be a pathetic tactic to exploit and discredit Dr. Meranto. I never realize the fact that he would twist and mangle my words to suit his purpose in an attempt to attack Dr. Meranto. I did not give him permission to use my name or take out of context things I had said. As a matter of fact, the part of his article that made reference to me was a big lie and embarrassing. He intentionally used bits and pieces of the conversation to justify his personal vendetta against the lady. I am appalled by what he did.

With intentions to gather bad publicity to use against her he perpetrated a fraud when he came to my office not stating he was a so-called reporter. I have never met Dr. Meranto and therefore I didn’t have anything to say about her but he kept prying for information regarding Dr. Meranto in order to discredit her integrity. But his integrity should be questioned and examined to say the least.

Respectfully, I sincerely hope that who ever reads this garbage will consider the source. He owes me an apology as well as I owe an apology to Dr. Meranto for that particular section where he uses my name in order to dishonor her.

There is a saying that I once heard that you could quote me on:

Great Minds - Talk about ideas

Average Minds - Talk about events

Small Minds - Talk about people

Sincerely,
Cathy Buchanan
