Young American voters living in Denmark

Dear Editor,

Young American voters living in Denmark get real tired of hearing things like "America doesn't have a democracy because most people don't vote", and
"American students donât vote because they donât care about their future or their country." There isnât a good answer to that, since USA voters - especially students - don't vote and the Danes do!

I have been voting by absentee ballot since I was a student in Toronto in 1976. Now I have a daughter who wants to go to college in the USA. University is free in Denmark. But I want my daughter to have a choice. The only hope for an affordable American education these days lies in the student voting block, which could help turn things around.

So for these two reasons: wanting to be proud of young Americans, and wanting them to get an affordable education, I hope you will print this article. Please help get the student vote out - for the first time since 1976!
