Earth Science Club forms new recycling program
Metro’s Earth Science Club, in association with Auraria Campus has started a new program for students to be able to recycle cell phones and cartridges from printers, fax and copy machines.

Pre-addressed, stamped envelopes are being hung on bulletin boards across campus where students can pick them up and mail their empty ink cartridges to a recycling facility.

The year-round free service will also allow students to drop off their old cell phones to the Science Building, Room 231, where they will be mailed to a recycling facility.

ESC hopes the Auraria Campus recycling program, developed by Rocky Mountain e-Cycle, will raise awareness of the benefits of recycling and raise funds for the club.

20 percent of the funds raised will be donated to charity with the rest used for field trips, conferences and other activities.
