Metro senior David Brennan looks at the AHEC facilities truck that his vehicle collided with as he waits for a tow truck Sept. 22. The accident occurred as Brennan was making a U-turn in pursuit of a coveted 25 cent-an-hour metered parking spot on 5th Street west of campus. Brennan said he thinks more parking should be made available to students. “They need to revise the parking situation.”

The hazy afternoon of the Indian Summer sun is beginning to sink into the west. Many Students are winding up their day of higher learning on the Auraria campus. At the Club Hub in the Tivoli, four dittoprayer rugs are set on the floor after Sabbir Ather, a UCD student, announces the beginning of the Maghrib prayer time. This is the fourth time today he has prayed toward Mecca, a city considered holy in the Muslim war.

'Runners fly high to beat CSU-Pueblo

The Metro Men's Soccer team saw its two sophomore forwards, Antonio Porras and Phillip Owen, outscore their opponents (CU-Colorado Springs and CSU-Pueblo) 2-0 as the Roadrunners won both home games last weekend. Along with the goals, Porras and Owen also picked up an assist each, while junior keeper David McReavy collected his second and third shutouts in the series. more >>

You have to play the Roadrunners twice this year, and not only does Metro score more often in games than any other team in the conference, but 2003 NSCAA/adidas All-American forward Amy Leichliter is just starting to get warmed up and has only four goals on the year.
