How can you not love "American Idol?" Sure, it epitomizes everything that's wrong with the record industry, television and people in general, but that's the appeal. Strip away the glitz and what's left is a karaoke contest with a bunch of idiots competing for the chance to sell their souls while they humiliate themselves on national TV.
