Before perhaps one of the largest crowds ever assembled for a Metro Student Government Assembly meeting, newly-elected SGA president Aaron "Jack" Wylie and 11 senators were sworn in to their offices.
SGA Vice President Dennis Bergquist called the crowd, which included Metro President Stephen Jordan and Wylie's opponent during the special election, Inayet Hadi, the best turnout he had ever seen for an SGA event - free food from Jerusalem's was offered, which may have helped with the attendance numbers.

Metro President Stephen Jordan congratulates new SGA President Aaron "Jack" Wylie at the SGA inauguration ceremony Nov. 16 in the Adirondacks Room on the fourth floor of the Tivoli.
Jordan was in attendance to give an introductory speech and welcome the new members to the service of the school.
"I'm very happy that we have a full senate and can't wait to get down to work," said SGA Speaker of the Senate Jesse Samora.
The meeting that followed the inauguration ceremony allowed the new senators to begin to work together, sharing ideas about the work ahead of them.
It also allowed them to meet SGA Adviser Elyse Yamauchi, who will be acting as a resource and source of support for the SGA through the rest of the Fall semester.
The SGA also discussed attending the Lessons in Leadership conference, which will be held January 10-12 in Estes Park. The SGA had donated $2,000 the previous week to help pay for conference expenses.
The SGA decided that the cost of attending the conference will be paid out of the pockets of the members who attend rather than out of student fees, which have been used in the past to send SGA members on retreats.
