Festival. The festival takes place at the Starz FilmCenter April 20-23.

Thursday,
April 20
8 p.m. – Opening night screening
Friday, April 21
8 p.m. – New wave of filmmakers screening
10 p.m. – Late night screening
A Late Night Screening featuring Russian Army zombies, depraved zombies, haunted
houses, haunted souls, monsters and mayhem. An uncut, uncensored, totally campy
program.
Saturday, April 22
Hands-on software demonstrations
10 a.m. – Final Cut
2:15 p.m. – Motion
5 p.m. – DVD Studio Pro
11 a.m. to noon – Seminar – “How NOT to make a student short
film and how TO get accepted into film festivals”
12:30 to 2 p.m. – Festival screening – Best of Colorado shorts
2:15 to 3 p.m. – Panel discussion
“ What’s being taught at Colorado Film, Mass Communication and Art
schools”
Presented by professors and teachers from CU-Denver, CU-Boulder, University of
Denver and The Art Institute of Colorado.
3:30 p.m. – Shorts matinee screening
6 to 7 p.m. – An evening with groundbreaking filmmaker Albert Maysles at
the King Center
Held in conjunction with the University of Colorado-Denver and CU-Denver Live.
Tickets are $8.50 for the general public and $5.50 for DFS members and students.
CU-Denver students get in free with a valid ID.

or at the box office Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or one hour before
the event.

Each festival screening shows a unique lineup of short films written, produced
and directed by college and university filmmakers from around the world.
