The guys of local band Amphibious Jones like to rock much like they party: hard. With intense shows full of zest, they offer their audience a piece of themselves when they perform. Musically, they sound like hillbilly rock with a folk-metal twist. Their entrancing vocals sound as if they are from a psychedelic acid band. Somehow they successfully intertwine numerous genres.

Though they’re a relatively new band in Denver, Amphibious Jones has garnered numerous fans at their live shows. Watch for them to attract fans like flies at this performance.

It’s time to get ready to skank all night long at The Summer of Ska Tour. Catch 22, who mix jazz, blues, R&B and punk together to create their ska sound, headline the event. Other bands playing are the dulcet, harmonious Westbound Train; and high energy bands Suburban Legends and Big D and the Kids Table. The Voodoo Glow Skulls top off the bill. It promises to be a night of horns, skanking and fun.

Lace up the steel toes, and head over for a night of drinking and thrashing with Los Angeles natives Clit 45. By mixing punk with hardcore to create a furious version of street punk, Clit 45 has been gaining notoriety and respect by giving the West Coast a taste of the predominately East Coast style of punk. They will bring their drunk punk to Denver for a night of wildly unrestrained entertainment that’s full of booze, mosh pits and that smelly guy sp’anging on the corner.
